My Story

Something you should know about me is that I love people’s stories. I don’t just want to know your name and that you want to drop a few pounds. I want to know your “why.” As a young adult I struggled a lot with how I viewed myself. This internal battle caused me to engage in a lot of conflict with others. When I finally was mature enough to be honest with myself about how I was choosing to live, I realized I needed to make a change. This all took place around the same time my college soccer career was ending. A lot of my identity and confidence was rooted in being a division one athlete. I knew I was going to need to find something that could be a positive outlet for me. That was when I fell in love with fitness. I became obsessed with being in the gym. I gained so much confidence in myself by being able to transform my body. Changing my diet, focusing on my health, and falling in love with lifting weights made me a happier person.

The past 6 years have been nothing close to perfect. I struggled immensely with overtraining, under-eating, binging, and believing my self worth was connected to how little body fat was on my frame. I still have those days, but they're way more infrequent than they used to be. The most remarkable part about my journey thus far isn’t the inches added to my glutes or taken off my waist, it’s the mental health gains that have come along with it. I’m a big believer in behavioral change and having strong convictions about who you want to be. I wanted more out of my life and I did something about it. I realize this is personal but I believe that sharing my story will help you understand that you are not alone. You may not wrestle the same demons as me but I know there’s something that’s been weighing heavy on your heart and mind. I’m here to tell you that it does not define you, it will not defeat you, unless you let it.

My mission is to inspire as many women as I can to invest time and energy into changing their daily habits and becoming the best version of themselves through strength training. It is no secret that building muscle and lifting weights produces more confidence and higher self esteem. It is through challenging yourself and pushing your limits that you realize you are so much stronger than you ever gave yourself credit for. This “I can do hard things” mentality will bleed into all other aspects of your life. You are responsible for the life you decide to lead. So make the change, today. Don’t wait. Start now.

Invest in your health, invest in your life.

Move a Muscle,

change a thought.
